Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner – Melanie Theriac

Melanie founded Medical Staffing Solutions in 2001 and has served as CEO since our inception. Before starting Medical Staffing Solutions, Melanie was a floor nurse who took great pride in providing the highest level of patient care.

Melanie’s guiding principles are operating her business in an ethical manner and enhancing our reputation for integrity, which in turn helps us attract and retain both customers and employees. She is responsible for the strategy, management and growth of MSS, and has developed the company into a leader in the healthcare staffing industry.

Chief Operating Officer & Managing Partner - Joan Russell

Joanie has served as COO and Managing Partner with Medical Staffing Solutions since 2003. She is responsible for cultivating the relationships with our clients and our employees, and assuring customer success and satisfaction. Joanie believes integrity is the cornerstone expectation that customers, employees and the public demand of us, and she manages our business with the requirement that everyone associated with Medical Staffing Solutions observe the highest ethical standards. Having obtained her BSN, Joanie brings over 20 years of experience as a nurse and serves as clinical liaison to our employees. She has worked the units and understands what is needed to provide exceptional patient care.

Vice President of Business Operations - Brent Denbo

Brent’s primary objective is to ensure that our customers and our employees achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. His guiding principles are communication, trust, and fairness, creating a challenging environment with opportunity for growth. Leading by example and treating people as individuals, Brent believes in hiring the very best people and emphasizes a focus on goals by communicating expectations effectively.

With over 15 years of experience in the staffing industry, Brent is responsible for providing the overall direction and guidance to MSS business activities with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability. He provides day-to-day direction and management to all business unit operations as well as strong leadership in mentoring and guidance to the MSS team.

Lead Scheduler – Beth Schnell, LPN

Beth and her scheduling team are the front line for Medical Staffing Solutions PRN business, and deal extensively with our customers and our employees 24 x 7 x 365, coordinating schedules for our clients and the placement of our employees at healthcare facilities.

As an LPN who has worked the floors for over 15 years, Beth has a unique understanding of what is needed to provide exceptional customer service and candidate relations. Beth and her team are extremely professional and client focused; and they strive to satisfy every customer and employee while achieving the highest level of customer service. Beth’s relentless pursuit towards scheduling every shift makes her one of the best schedulers in the industry.

Accounting Manager – Jeremy Wann

A graduate of Indiana State University, Jeremy brings a structured and organized approach and comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices to the MSS team. His tremendous attention to detail makes Jeremy one of MSS’s most reliable and dependable employees.

Jeremy serves as the primary contact for questions about payroll; and is committed to providing our customers with excellent service on accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and any other accounting issues that may arise.

Senior Recruiter - Melissa Willis

Melissa’s reputation as attentive, experienced recruiter is the number one reason that our employees join us…and stay with us, assignment after assignment.

With over 18 years of dedicated experience in Healthcare Recruiting, Melissa is your partner and industry expert. Together with Melissa, you will find your ideal assignment, discuss your options and explore the many opportunities that are currently available to you. Additionally, she will answer your questions about program structure, availability of assignments, licensing requirements and the benefits we offer.

Senior Recruiter – Jana Mitchell

After earning her degree from Indiana State University and working in the sales industry, Jana joined MSS in 2005 and has served in various key roles for the company, performing as a “star” in every position she has assumed.

As Senior Recruiter, Jana leverages her vast network of healthcare industry connections to recruit and retain some of the best and brightest travel nurses in the industry. Nurses’ love working with Jana because of her warm and infectious personality and her ability to listen to the needs of her candidates. Introducing Medical Staffing Solutions services to potential travelers, Jana can answer all of your questions about program structure, availability of assignments, licensing requirements and the benefits we offer.

 

Human Resource Assistant – Renée Voorhees

Renee’ brings a strong work ethic and detail oriented approach to handling the day to day operations of the MSS office. Serving as the Human Resources lead, Renee’ handles on-boarding and compliance paperwork of our clinical professionals with great precision. Renee’ is the primary contact for questions about company policy, benefits, personnel records, grievances, licensing, or any other HR related issues.

 

Office Administrator – Jennifer Reeb

Jen is the friendly voice that will regularly answer the phone when you call in, and is tasked with assisting in the day to day administrative demands of the office. Jen’s friendly and outgoing personality makes her a pleasure to work with, taking great pride in providing exceptional customer service. She will happily answer any questions you may have or assist you in directing your call to the appropriate person.

 

Director of Strategic Services - Corey Peak, MBA, MHSA

Corey is responsible for new business development and the implementation of our Strategic Information Services product line. The added service helps our clients understand how they compare in the marketplace, the latest staffing trends and best practice strategies for controlling personnel costs. Corey believes that the relationship with our clients should be a partnership that should be much deeper than a buyer-seller transaction. He also has a passion for top quality work and deliverables.

Corey has over 12 years experience in performance improvement roles including management consulting to healthcare providers. He has a deep understanding of what optimum staffing levels and skill mix do for the facility in terms of the patient experience, quality of care and financial benefits. Corey has his MBA and MHSA from the University of Michigan.

Therapy Staffing Manager – Jeff Lee

Jeff leads new business development and the implementation of our Therapy and Allied Staffing Services. Tasked with the goals of growing MSS’s therapy presence and starting up and expanding new territories, Jeff brings an exceptional ability to build rapport with clients and candidates and takes the time to listen to their needs and offer solutions that work.

Jeff’s role involves the recruitment of talented physical, occupational and speech-language rehabilitation therapy professionals in a variety of regions across the United States; managing a client base that consist of regional and national medical facilities. Joining the MSS team in 2010, Jeff brings a well-rounded knowledge of the business and understands healthcare industry trends and strategy.
